 Here’s some useful information on Houzz users.

Kitchens and bathrooms are the most popular remodeling projects among Houzz users, with 48 percent of respondents planning a bathroom remodel, and 45 percent redoing a kitchen in the next two years. Midwesterners have the highest budgets for kitchen and bath remodels at $30,500 and $13,600 respectively, while the South is allocating the least at $23,800 and $11,600.

Millennials are significantly more motivated than other age brackets to remodel to increase their home value (61 percent) and accommodate changing lifestyle needs (20 percent).

Here are some best practices for using Houzz to better your business.

 

 Make sure your profile is complete. Create a glowing description about your business and be sure all of the pertinent information someone needs is there. They are about to do business with you right? You want them to be able to get in touch with you.

 Upload large, high quality photographs to your profile. Upload a lot of photos! Of course you should organize these into “projects” so it is easier for a user to find what they are looking for. And don’t forget to use the keywords strategically.

 Be active on discussion boards and answer questions Houzz users have about your projects! You can also use the tagging feature to tag specific products or colors used in your projects.

 Use the Houzz Facebook tab on your business Facebook page.

 

 Ask for reviews! Reviews are powerful when users are looking to see if you are someone they might like to do business with. If you have had some great experiences with clients, ask them to review you on Houzz.
