Is getting together really a lost “art”? Recently I saw a commercial that showed different sets of people in glass window displays at barbecues, or other social outdoor events. The narrator says that get togethers are a lost art. Is this true? Are we really connecting less?
Social media is a great place to start connecting with friends, your favorite brands and more, but don’t let it stop there!
Recently while shopping at a popular outdoor mall, I noticed how one small thing seemed to connect everyone.
There was a vendor in the middle of the mall who was selling bubble guns to the parents of small children. Bubbles filled the walking space of the mall. Small children were blowing bubbles at everyone they came in contact with and despite my fear that people would be irritated with bubbles being blown in their face, not a single person was irritated. In fact, they ALL smiled.
I suppose bubbles take us all to a reminiscent place that is of summertime and childhood fun. Are bubbles the universal common denominator? Isn’t that what we are looking for, a common denominator? Maybe we all need to stop and think about life a little more and look up from our mobile devices and connect with those around us a little more. Yes?
So, connect with me on social media then give me a phone call, lets meet in person and talk about your next project. Truly the best part about this business is the wonderful new people I meet and the satisfied look on the faces of clients who I’ve been able to help promote their business.
And if you bring bubbles to our meeting? You get a high-five.
